i have a 350 mhz, 96 mb RAM Win98 system. Which would be better for UT and all other future games? The GeForce2 GTS (32mb) or the ATi Radeon 32mb?IP: Logged |

Geforce and a processor upgrade (and when you're on it, get another 128mb ram, winME or 2k and a 22" monitor  )------------------

No actually he needs another 32mb. That would make it a lot faster, because then his computer would be paging correctly.
And actually after seeing a Radion 64mb I would have to argue that a Radion 32mb DDR would be nearly, if not just as fast as a GTS 32mb, but with slightly better visual quality. However I don't think that they have quite as nice overclocking utilities as the GF2's do.And what processor are you running? AMD, or Intel? If an AMD then pop a K6-III 500 in there, and it will be a lot faster, and if its an Intel figure out the fastest chip you can put in it, and do that. Or if you are willing to go for a new mobo, then get a KT7 and a Duron, or Athlon. ------------------

the GTS IS tha faster card... the Radeon is a PILE cheaper and it's not that much slower at all, and it supports some way cool options the gts doesnt. either will do and persinally i';d go for the radeon, but seeing as i have one, i am a little bias :-D BTW frag- i LOVE that sig :-DIP: Logged |
