I went to the big guitar shop up here after school today. I was looking for a cheap acoustic, because the one I have now isn't actually mine, and the neck is screwed up, making it impossible to tune. So I went and found exactly what I was looking for! It's an Epiphone (high-quality, low-cost manufacturer), has an Ebony finish, and sweet action. I was able to hit a barre with no buzzing or dead frets, which is something I can't do on my current acoustic. I played it for almost an hour and I love it! I'm sure it was made just for me.

I was so close to just buying it, but the tag was $299, and I know that price is ridiculously inflated. It should be about $230, retail. So I'm going to think about it tonight and try to talk the price down to a reasonable amount tomorrow. If nothing else, I can go to a clearing house like Musician's Friend and quote their price. If the guy doesn't go for it, well, I'll just buy from the catalog.

I just thought I'd share that with you all.
