I ordered a new computer and am wondering how it will handle Quake 3 Arena.My PC specs are: Pentium 3 at 733MHz
128 RAM
nVidia TNT 2 M64 (like a downgraded TNT 2) What resolution and detail level could I get with Q3A while getting a framerate over 30. IP: Logged |

Yep - will run fine, if you get any blippyness then just drop the texture detail down to 3 instead of max (4) or just drop the colours down to 16-bit rather that 32.And get the 1.25p patch, it really improves Botcode and CTF play. btw - my brother runs Q3 on his K6-2 233 with a Voodoo2 @ 25-30 fps. and that isn't at the lowest detail setting!!! Yes he is upgrading!!! ------------------

640x480 max detail etc
800x600 texture detail 3 16-bit (4 is max)these are approximations tho - keep it low as possible - you don't notice the res in an intense 4-way rocket fight.  ------------------
